Sloshed In Translation

Oooh I’ve been drinking again… which is never a good idea while browsing through LiveJournal… and being that I am not the most adept at the functions of LiveJournal, I just this evening learned of the ability to search through communities.  Not really sure how I ended up in the context of eating disorders I saw the usual type communities… you know, Anorexia ( Idiots ), Bulimics ( Idiots ), but I’ve never heard of “Orthorexia” ( Probably Idiots ).

At first glance I was curious… Ortho?  Isn’t that feet?  Though of course, I was wrong… apparently Ortho, as derived from Orthos, meaning right, or correct.  Matched with Orexis for appetite… put em together and you have what they believe to be the “Correct Appetite”… or in their case, all organic food that when put together for a dish is not only largely the cause of their malnourishment, but also in most cases looks like blended vomit and fecal matter.

Before I get into the look of the food, as well as those that eat it, let’s give a little medical information as to the end result of this lovely little diet shall we?

Symptoms:

• Believes Preserved or “Industrial” foods as “Dangerous”.
• Has an unhealthy obsession with “Organic” or “Hand Grown” foods ( AKA Raw ).
• Has a compulsion to eat said foods while experiencing any strong emotion. ( Nervousness, Sadness, Guilt, etc )
• Looks like a cancer patient.

End Biological Result:

• Looking like a cancer patient.
• Snooty, acting as if better than the world for being  “healthy”.
• Death as a end result of starvation. ( This one actually being fact )

 Amusingly enough the National Institutes’ of Health have found this disorder to be more common in men ( I’ve never granted my gender an abundance of brains ), as well as the under educated masses of America… yet another thing I can blame public schooling for.

And idiotic Hollywood parents giving their children more than they deserve.

Thankfully, due to their dietary habits the intelligent majority of the world won’t have to deal with their ilk for an extended period of time as well, they have the best form of population control known to man… suicide.  Yay for statistics!

A shining example of one of these… “people” is someone on LiveJournal by the name of tumaro, which is either her real name, a “clever” spelling of tomorrow, or she’s illiterate.  She happens to have two children, which won’t be named or linked here… hell, even I have SOME morals… what worries me about the situation is that THIS WOMAN that feels it’s important to put THIS SHIT in her body as a regiment of being “healthy”… what is she feeding these poor kids?  God knows they are being bottle fed as the only result of feeding from those breasts would be a white flag with “I Surrender” printed on it…

Hell, there is a whole community of these people!  Though on the previous statement of them essentially committing suicide… I do have to thank them for their social Darwinism… less traffic for me to deal with… though my taxes will still have to pay for the kids they leave behind.
